EAT, PLAY, LOVE

Three years in the making from design to move-in, Nick and Amy Bancroft’s sleek, smooth and spacious modern Martis Camp residence was designed to be a place where the entire six-person family (including six-year old triplets) can live, learn, work and play.

DWELL – A COMPLETELY DYSFUNCTIONAL NEVADA KITCHEN BECOMES EVERYONE’S FAVORITE SPOT FOR PARTIES

Members of Chip and Susie Hobson’s dining club could be forgiven for wanting to hold all their dinners at the couple’s Reno home. Or, specifically, in their eat-in kitchen, an airy volume featuring clean-lined cabinetry and filled with light.

DWELL – A FOREST SANCTUARY DESIGNED TO SUPPORT AUTISTIC TRIPLETS, THEIR PARENTS, AND A HOST OF CAREGIVERS

Ever since the birth of Amy and Nick Bancroft’s triplets six years ago, the couple’s lives have been a whirlwind of activity. Edge Residence

Overlooking the city of Reno, this new custom residence creates a modern home integrated into the natural topography of the site. A Chic Nest on a Rugged Ridge

Mutual respect combines with meticulous design and quality craftsmanship to define this Reno masterpiece. Roughly once a decade, Reno couple Tamra and Darin Murphy build a new house. “The first was for our babies. The second was for our teenagers. This is our empty nest home,” Tamra says. With each home, she adds, they just get better. Tamra does much of the interior design while Darin, general contractor of Murphy Built Construction, handles the build.

Hidden in Plain Sight

Modern home nestled into hillside fits slyly into established west Reno neighborhood. Many of the homes found in well-established west Reno neighborhoods have been in place for decades, the aesthetic mix varying between classic ranch houses, stucco-clad high-desert spreads with a touch of Mission detailing, and the familiar mish-mash of forms and materials that generally make up an American housing development.
